Who we are
Lavington Baptist Church is a Bible-believing fellowship proclaiming the timeless gospel of salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).
We gather as believers united in worship and service to Christ our Head.

Our Moto
• Save the lost:
Proclaiming the gospel of grace “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” Mark 16:15
• Sanctify the saints:
Equipping believers through Bible teaching and fellowship to grow in holiness, as “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” Philippians 1:6.
• Serve the Lord:
Honoring Christ in all things, for “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” 1 Corinthians 10:31.
Our history
Lavington Baptist Church celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024, founded in 1974 by Pastor and Mrs. Gough in a renovated fish-and-chip shop opposite Albury High School. The fellowship later rented premises in Kotthoff Street, Lavington, before constructing its permanent home in 1979 at 450 Parnell Street.

What we do
• Exalt The Lord Jesus
We worship and honor Jesus Christ as the supreme Head of the church in all our gatherings and teachings.
“Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing” Revelation 5:12
• Extend His Body (The Church)
We build up the local church through Bible teaching, fellowship, discipleship, and missions outreach.
“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ” Ephesians 4:11-12
• Excite The Saved To Serve Him
We encourage every believer to discover and use their spiritual gifts in active service to Christ and others.
“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” 1 Peter 4:10
