We are an assembly of like minded Christians, meeting for regular worship and service of Christ the Lord.

Our history

ornament1Lavington Baptist Church has just celebrated its 40th anniversary. The church was started in 1974 by Pastor and Mrs Gough in a renovated fish and chip shop opposite the current Albury High School. The church moved to a rented building in Kotthoff St, Lavington before finally being able to build their own building in 1979 at it’s current site of 450 Parnell St, Lavington.

Over this time it has had only a few faithful pastors:

Pastor Gough 1974-1976

Pastor Couch 1976-1977

Pastor Gough 1977-1979

Assistant Pastor Jackel 1978-1979 then Pastor from 1979 until today.
